Wet plate photography
All photographs are 4x5" tintypes.
Wet plate collodion is an early form of photography where instead of a film, the image is captured and developed to special aluminium (tin type) or glass plate (ambrotype) coated with collodion liquid.
The photographs have been shot with mostly with antique cameras and lenses on aluminium plates.
As with all of Pitkänen's work, no AI or digital photo manipulation have been used.
